The course is intended for teachers and/or researchers in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) and helps them to recognize, understand and address ethical issues on personal, institutional and professional levels.

The Ethics and Governance in Higher Education Training course for Administrators (EHE-ETC1) is designed to train top management in HEI around the world on various aspects of organisational ethics. It is the first of the series on Ethics in Higher Education (EHE) which aims at promoting ethical practices among HEI senior management and staff, in line with UNESCO Education Framework 2030.
The course is organised as a 2-day workshop onsite, and conducted by our Globethics Academy certified ethics trainers with track records in management experience and leadership in the education and/or public sector.
Teaching method and duration
Participants will participate to the class discussion, mock presentation on case studies related to issues in ethics and governance. The total duration is estimated at 20 hours on site and 20 hours of individual work.
Registration and enrollment
User access and password are provided upon receipt of the registration form with your contact details using this link. Enrolled students can download the material to do their individual work and upload them online before class starts. They can interact with the assigned trainer for the specific module after the seminar for clarification.
It is recommended to have face-to-face workshops or webinars if the conditions are met.
Certificate of completion and credit transfer
A Certificate of completion is issued by the Globethics Academy (GEA) for participants who have completed the course.
The Capstone Project
Professionals who wish to be certified as a certified ethics professional may opt to do a Capstone Project in a form of a dissertation which allows 3 US (or 4.5 ECTS) credits.
These credits can be integrated to the selected academic programmes displayed on our GE Open Learning platform (GOAL), offered by the Consortium institutional members, who are the diploma issuers.
The list of online programmes will be available on GOAL by January 2018.
Ownership and intellectual property rights
The modules in this course are owned by Globethics Academy under certain reserves.

The World Council of Churches pursues with GETI 2018 the goal to enhance an intentional ecumenical formation on global level and in accompaniment of its major ecumenical events.
The World Mission Conference in Arusha, Tanzania, will offer a unique opportunity for an academic, spiritual and contextual engagement with a key thematic area in the ecumenical movement.
